Hey guys so I was going to get Nova to take “him” out and I saw this when he was walking because he was dragging his tail instead of usual keeping it tucked away. It has since kind of went back in? I have “him” in water right now soaking.

Update, it went back in but I’ve never seen that happen before.

Looks like a prolapse. Its good that it went back in. Has he been constipated?

You should probably get used to it, because that looks like the end of the tortoise's penis. You may tend to see it more often as he gets more mature.

How much of it was out when you first noticed it? You will ultimately be surprised at how long the organ is compared to the size of the tortoise.

How big is your tortoise and how old?

Just what I had taken a picture of, that’s how far out it was. I lifted him up in the beginning and thought it was just stuck poop so I didn’t think much of it. I noticed it was out when he was clawing at the enclosure side. My tortoise is a year and 6 months old and weighs 10 pounds.

Alright guys, so it’s been determined. It’s definitely a boy as far as I’m concerned. He has been going around the cage going after one of the little balls that I have in there and he was walking and this was what I see hanging out, you’ll have to zoom in.
