Is slow growing good or bad?

I've heard that if a tortoise grow as slow as possible will be more healthy and less chance of getting ill, is that true?

Sulcatas don’t grow slow at all ? and usually when they do there is something wrong. ??‍♀️

Not true. Old myth. Speed of growth has little to do with health. When they are most healthy, fed well, and kept in optimal conditions, they tend to grow faster than when fed inadequately, and kept too dry or otherwise poorly.
