So recently i've noticed that my baby looks kinda fat. I posted some pics below. She can still get into her shell but whenever she does her hind legs look a bit puffy. Yesterday she did eat quite a lot though and i soak her 1 hour from 7-8am and another hour from 7-8 pm. Is it possible that water retention is taking place? And is water retention good or bad? She did poop poop out pasty urates this morning and i also feed either cactus/lettuce to keep her hydrated if i dont see her drink in her soak. Also what are the symptoms of kidney failure?

Didn't you already ask this? I believe I answered this question recently. That 'puffiness' is normal, giving them room to move their legs. When I answered this question the first time I said I had gone around and looked at all my chelonia...ALL my turtles and tortoises have that s ame puffiness.

Actually i've never asked this before i've only looked into some old threads. Also how do you guys usually manage to see the colour of yout torts' pee because whenevee i wipe it with tissue it's hard to see the colouration. Overall my baby poops pees and urates also come out pasty. Also any idea how to minimize poop eating? Because my baby has been eating some poop without me knowing as i have online classes in the morning

@maggie3fan so her rear legs are also fine? Because they look a bit puffy to me. Also i was kind of shocked because after her stone came out she looked really deflated on her neck side and her rear end

I won't say that this is the case with yours or not, but sometimes they can get water retention from kidney damage. A lot of babies are a bit puffy like that though.
