Is just one OK?

We just purchased one Russian. She will be a Christmas gift to one of our kids.

Will the tort be ok by herself, or should we get her a friend?

She'll be fine alone. Some say that Russians are solitary creatures and prefer to be alone.

Honestly, mine LOVE their companions and seek out their company! LOL! But one alone won't know what he's missing out on anyway!

I was just noticing that most people who have tort, have more than one. I guess that's for the enjoyment of the owner more than for the tort

I'm envious, Terry! Come spring, I might just get in touch with you about adopting a little one from you! Do you only ever have hatchlings (for sale), or do you ever have yearlings or other youngsters like 2 yrs old or so?

Would the 4ft christmas tree box be big enough for 2? ? ? Or would i have to bigger? ?
