Hi all! I have a Russian tortoise and we've had him about 1 year.

I'm concerned with the way his shell is looking...

Can anyone tell me if this is normal or if I should seek a reptile vet?

He is active and eating normally. We add calcium powder to his food and he gets regular baths/soaks. He loves to climb and we change his bedding regularly so its clean. He has his heat lamp and full spectrum lights.

We've tried to follow all the guidelines, but I'm not sure if his shell is normal or not.

Looks fine for a wild caught tortoise. There is some abrasion up front. Is that recent damage or is that how it was when you got it?
