I've read up on how to tell if my boxie Groot is a boy or girl. But it's all descriptive, no pictures.

Could any of you show me a picture of a boy and a girl baby box turtle? I'd love to know for sure what to look for, I'm thinking she's a girl.

Thank you!

It's my understanding that all turtles and tortoises appear female until they reach sexual maturity, which varies a bit with each species.
If Groot (LOVE the name, BTW! :D ) isn't adult yet, you won't be able to tell for sure.

Agree with the others. Wait at least 3 years to know.

There is no way for you to determine gender at one month old. I have a 15 month old and I've got a while to wait yet.
