Good afternoon,

I have russian tortoise female.
Temps. are good, I use UVB 5 Reptiglo.
Humidy 20 percents.
I bought her 2 weeks ago. She eats well, but today she sleeps many hours and she go very often to water.

My question is:

is breath of my turtle (see video) good or patohologic? I heard weak click, when she breaths....When i hear this sound, she moves her legs lik in this video (excuse me for quality). Prevalence of clicks is: about 2 - 3 clicks per 1 - 2 min.

What temps are "good"? Different people have different ideas about this. Can you tell us the four temps? Warm side, cool side, basking area and over night low?

What type of UV bulb? Coil type or long tube type? Coil types sometimes damage their eyes. The 5.0 bulbs of either type produce very little UV. Do you have a UV meter? Does your tortoise get much outside time?

What type of water bowl are you using? You say she goes to the water a lot? Am I understanding correctly that she does drink on her own?

That substrate is far too dry and its a serious impaction risk. I would change it right away.

As Tom mentioned, you need a substrate that will hold moisture. I would suggest coco-coir. It will hold moisture without becoming moldy.

By using the coco-coir, you should be able to bring the humidity up to 40% depending up the locale and the use of air conditioning.

You can also research adding a humid hide to your enclosure.

If coco-coir is not available many keepers use top soil or a combination of top soil and coco-coir.

You can also consider adding a humidifier to the room or building an outdoor enclosure.

Have your substrate deep enough for your tortoise to bury itself under.

They don't have diaphragms so they will pump their arms like bellows. Not difficult, but different.

Good afternoon.

There are these temps. in my terrarum: basking side: 35, centre - 30 - 32, cool side - 28 - 30, at night - 28 (summer nights are warm in this day).
I am using tube reptiglo uvb 5 lamp, but i have reptiglo 10......tube lamp too.
Turtle goes to water 3 - 4 times per day and she lays here about 20 - 30 min. She drinks on her own.
Well...this substarte is from corn and it holds the moisture .
So, is her breath good or pathologic?
Thanks.
