Several pets in the area have died from the bacterial bloom this summer and I'm kind of worried about my pals out at the pond. I couldn't find much information about it being toxic to freshwater animals, but one article suggested that it can kill sea turtles.

I don't know- I saw an article about it earlier today, and it only mentioned people's pet dogs. :(

I’m inclined to say that I think it would be toxic. It’s toxic to pretty much everything else, it’s killing, dogs, fish, turtles, Manatee so my gut instinct it that this is very dangerous to al animals (and humans)

Oh no :( I guess I'll keep an eye out and alert someone if there's trouble. Some of these turtles have been around for a while, so I'm hoping that they know best.
