Introducing Wash - Brazilian Rainbow boa

Was on a wait list for this guy for several months and he just arrived earlier this month. Introducing Wash, a male Brazilian Rainbow boa from the great folks at Living Gems Reptiles. He is the future mate to our Zoë. These were his arrival pictures.
Pardon the not great pictures ... What they lack in quality, they make up in quantity!

What a beauty! I've always found these guys to be gorgeous, but I've heard there temperments can be iffy. Do you find that to be true?

We have four, two adults we got this fall, a yearling we've had for a bit more than a year and then this one. So I wouldn't say we have a great deal of experience with them. But from what I've heard from keepers with more experience and seen myself, they tend to be a bit nippy when they are young but with consistent gentle handling, they calm right down usually. Their bitey rep isn't completely unwarranted but is a bit overblown.

Gorgeous! Love this species! One of my favorites.

The few that I have handled and been around were not nippy at all. I haven't seen an aggressive one in my limited experience.
