Hello, from North Carolina!
My wife and I are new tortoise parents. I've been on the forums for over a month, reading and learning a lot about how to properly take care of our little baby tortoise. I'd like to thank you all. We're
still learning every day and these forums have been an invaluable resource in helping us to get him started the right way!
It's time to introduce our little guy! His name is Philip Charles (aka Lil' Phil). He is a Marginated tortoise, approx. 1 month and 2 weeks old, and we've had him for 1 month. He weighs 17 grams and is 4.4 cm (1 3/4") long. He mostly basks, sleeps, burrows, and eats all day but every few days, he'll roam around his enclosure for several hours. He loves to climb and will climb up into our hands. He doesn't seem to be a picky eater so far. Some of his favorite foods are endive, dandelion greens, and kale. He seems to enjoy music, particularly an instrumental version of "Eye of the tiger".
