Hello new here!

Researching I currently don't own any tortoises.
I live in the states & have some questions about indoor habitats

What size enclosure do you need for an adult eastern Hermann's?
Is glass not okay? is a plastic tub okay? any enclosure recommendations?
what are temperature requirements?
what do they eat & how often?

I live an apartment life and don't a lot of room.

How do you keep temp & humidity up if its an open table/enclosure? do they just need a moist hide?

thank you so much

Hello and welcome.

You'll need a minimum of 4x8' for an indoor tortoise table for an adult hermanni. They need a lot of room to move around, and they need this room in their safe enclosure, not loose on the floor. Glass is fine, but there is no glass tank big enough. Same with plastic tubs. Tortoises need a lot more room than some other pets.

Care for them is essentially the same as it is for russians. Read these:
