"Indent" of the front of shell

IMG_0210.JPG IMG_0211.JPG You I guess I should have posted this when I got an acount here. I have an 8 month old red foot she is very healthy. Eats well, active, and is growing some. Every sense I got here though at 2 months old I think ... she has had this small indent on the front of her shell. Anyone know why?

Has she always had it? Probably nothing to worry about.

virtually all of the 100's I've hatched have that.. will out-grow it.

That sure looks big for 8 months.. did your source tell you he hatched in March?

IMG_0064.JPG Yeah she's had that sense it got her. Yeah actually think she's 10 months now that I think about it. Here's her in my hand... I have small hands only 14:) years old

Mine has the exact same thing.. almost looks like someone has pushed a finger nail into it when their shell was soft :)

When a baby is in the shell they are 'round' like the typical redfoot egg. When they first hatch they are NOT perfectly smooth.. ALL have that until sometimes a year old or older...
