Ive acquired a group of Redfoots. (5) To be exact  Im unsure of their sexes. A few im guessing to say the least are males. No! Ive not been flashed yet.:p Im choosing to believe they are quite shy. Can anyone tell me if a group of males can live together? Seems to me if the group is all male they would'nt have alot to fuss over, but i want to be positive before hand. And how many could i keep in a 16ft wide by about 35ft long outside enclosure? Im building a shallow wading area for them and its pretty heavily planted. It has 6 hides. Im going to post pics as soon as i get my camera bk. Ive added several Palm trees they cant get to and a few Banana Trees also. Some Hibiscus and Hostas and Airplane Plants, Its coming around, And im very proud of it. Im attaching pics of their carapace and one from the top of each tort. One has a little shell rot, nothing major and its now healing nicely. Two maybe a little to small to tell. Let me know what you think. :D
First pic is Shadow. Im Positive hes a male. What do you think? Am i wrong? Hes about 7 inches long.
Second pics are of a little 5 3/4 incher. One of the ones that maybe to young or small to tell.:p
Third two pics ate of the other that maybe to small to sex also, except this one is about 6 inches long.
Fourth pics are of Bob, a male im also pretty positive of.
And last but not least the Fifth pics are of George, Another male i do believe. lol.
Mostly all of them are rescues, except the two that maybe too young to sex. Im hoping i have those two's pyramiding under control. :)
Let me know what you think. Also what type or race of Reds do you think they are, Im clueless. :( I just know i love them all.:D

1st and 3rd plastron shots looking female the others are male. Looks to be of Northern Species as they tend to have the two dark "triangle" type markings on their belly.

Nice Redfoot's Maria!
I was told by a very knowledgable Redfoot owner that he has not had trouble with males together. The issues come up when there is a female.
I am hoping when mine are sexually mature, that the males can stay in one enclosure.
I guess time will tell for both of us.
:)

Thank You, I'm really hoping they will do fine together. Im going to do two seperate enclosures,
Was thinking of putting one enclosure on each side of my yard. I figure keep them seperate and away from each other.
And keeping my girls in one and the guys in another.
I have my Cherryhead in front yard , She's kept seperate from the Reds they'd run right over her lol. They are all awesome , And Im really hoping it will work out between the males. Like you said time will tell for us both. Goodluck to you.
