How rude of me!
I'm Alyscia, I live in central Florida and have two sulcata tortoises. I was given my first, Bowser (female 6 1/2-7 years old), as a gift when I was 17. I had not a clue as to what I was doing with this adorable little animal, but I was smitten. Now that I know a little bit more, and my hubby has fallen in love with my first, we adopted our second, Koopa (4 months estimated) Eventually we'll be looking into adopting another female. I currently have them in a 15ft by 6 foot enclosure to roam around and graze during the day, and for Koopa after his exercise he gets a 3ft by 3ft tortoise table that was built for me when I was given the first tort. I'm converting it into the humid, hot environment it needs to be, so while it's not the most esthetically pleasing, it's getting better. Bowser doesn't sleep outside yet, but her 3ft by 3ft cold frame should be in any day now and put into her enclosure, and she'll have a go at enjoying our warm, humid, area.
Also I have a Beagle/Lab rescue named Mac, and a Maine Coon rescue named Sweet Dee. They're not too thrilled about my tort obsession but they get to sleep in bed so I think it works out.
Oh and I of course have my darling husband and step son who put up with me and my growing zoo.
