you. can check prices on places like fauna classified. They're not as valuable as their owners think they are. They are quite common.

In Arizona, the large males are usually listed for $500-700. Females are usually $1,000. But I honestly don't know if they successfully sell at those prices. The species is very common and there are always a lot of them in need of good homes.

In my neck of the woods for a male you might get $100 females on the other hand I’ve see go for between $500 and $1000. How sure are you it’s a female?

Here it seems that small ones are between 1 and 3 hundred dollars.
The larger ones most people are reluctant to take on.... I'm going to assume Louisiana would be similar.
Ask a high price and use that to weed out the idiots. Then offer the "right" person the animal for a price that you both feel good with.

Its hard to sell large ones.

Females don't usually get over 80 pounds. Have they actually weighed this tortoise? Are they sure its a female?
