Is this box big enough? People have told me not to spend the money, and get something cheaper but I feel this looks better and the others are so big. ImageUploadedByTortForum1373925388.778179.jpg

No. The only tortoise that can live in there is a hatchling. But once it starts to grow it quickly outgrows that tortoise house.

Okay! On how long it's a hatchling. Some sights say 1 year. And some say 2 or 3. The Internet really isn't trustful anymore.

In my opinion, a hatchling is just that, just hatched. Id say after 3 or 4 months that name no longer fits.

Personally I love the boxes because once they get two big you can use the box as a nice safe sleeping place

Not worth the money, you can find much larger container (totes) at home depot for

30-50 bucks, get two and connect them for even more room, the bigger the

better.

I wouldnt say its worthless but not worth the money you spend. If you really want one, i say craigslist it! just wait it out. Like what everybody else said, its better to build one your self. I have one because i wasnt thinking at the time. i could have spent the money in building a bigger and better one. I did made some modifications on mine tho. I guest that made it worht the money and it was fun. to each its own.

A baby Hermann's will outgrow that amazingly fast!\

Buy the biggest storage box you can find from Walmart, Target, Big Lots or whatever is handy, but at least 3' long by 18" wide (but bigger is better!), and make your new buddy a temporary/winter home.

Then start building a really nice outdoor home for it, because with good care, they grow fast!
