No really. You should not keep two Russians together. They are the worst bullies.

A 4 year old is going to need more space than a tank. They are very active. You will need a minimum of 4'x8' for this one and yours will need its own space this size too.

In any case you should always keep a new tort entirely separate from your own for at least 6 months in quarantine to ensure that neither makes the other sick.

No. Only to mate and then separate them. Males and females are as defensive as each other.

Groups of 3 or more Russians of a similar size may be kept together successfully in a very large enclosure (at least 4' x 8' per tortoise) with plenty of sight barriers, but there are no guarantees.
