Hibernation in North east?

Does anyone here hibernate their Russians outdoors in the winter?

I am in the North East. I have not and I do not think I ever will because of the heavy rain we can get during the winter. The nice thing about the cold winter so far is the lack of rain but the last five years we have had more rain than snow and heavy rain at that so I don't see me ever hibernating outdoors.
