I think he is a Desert tortoise, but i am not certain and i would appreciate if i could know.
Additional info: he roams in my 600 square meter garden. I feed him veggies and bananas every day (1 banana per 2-3 days and 30 leattuce leaves per week)

Hi, and welcome to the Forum!

Is that a real tortoise?...or are you trying to fool us with a statue? LOL!

With all that grass, you really don't need to feed him lettuce and bananas. Tortoises don't need fruit, and especially bananas. If you want to give him a treat every so often, give him a small branch off the mulberry tree, or cut off part of the grape vine. Those type treats are much healthier for a desert tortoise.

It sort of looks like a chaco tortoise, but the coloring is wrong.

Hello and Welcome:). I actually thought a DT too, however I have only seen pics of them and none that I can recall have that pronounced of leg scales. I know almost nothing about DT though. It is a nice looking tort, whatever it is.:D

I don't think you need to nourish him lettuce and apples. Tortoises don't need fruits, and especially apples. You need to give them some grape leaves it will be good for this situation.

Showsany characteristics of a Manouria to me. Protruding sharp scutes on front legs, shell shape, and face composition. Could you snap a photo of its plastron(underside) also of the rear legs to see if it has the "6" leg spurs.

I agree, but I think this is a hybrid. I think there is chelonoidis in there, looks the right shell for that.

The shell looks real; but the head does look like something carved from clay. Even the eye looks somewhat artificial.
