Hi, I know that halogen spot bulbs are bad for the tortoises because the beam is really tight and concentrated and we are thinking of switching already. I read on here that the best option is just an incandescent flood light but will any incandescent bulb work? Since either of them produce heat?

Incandescent flood bulbs produce the least amount of concentrated IR-A heat when compared to other bulbs. The flood bulb shape also projects much wider and reaches farther. These two characteristics are why they are generally recommended over all other bulbs.
