so my friend is giving me a young eastern box turtle within the next few weeks (she had two that are the same size and age but only wanted one). its age is about a year and a half and its around 2 or 3 inches long. she was going to release it but i knew it wouldnt last in the wild so i told her id be happy to take one or both of them. i just need some help with its enclosure. since i live in virginia i would like to be able to put it outside so is it big/mature enough yet? i would need to take it in during the winter so what should the indoor enclosure be like (lights, heat, how to keep it humid, etc)? would a 50 gallon rubbermaid tub work? i might also be getting the other one (my friend is still deciding if she wants to keep one) so how would having two change things? do box turtles get along with other box turtles? thanks!
