Hi

I have a 9 month old ornate box turtle. I’ve had it for a month (give or take) now and so far it’s gone quite well up until about a week ago. I noticed he was CONSTANTLY keeping his eyes closed and sleeping and burying himself. I called the vet to make sure all is well and they suggested I bring him in. I brought him in and they said he was having dietary issues and that he needed a food pellet. I purchased it and have been feeding it to him but nothing has changed. His eyes look very swollen and when he opens them, I have to put him into some water so he can clean his eyes (ill post some photos of his eyes).

im quite worried so if anyone knows anything please please please respond!

I just turned it off.
I’m looking at petco for the light fixture. They have a few to choose from. Which one do I get?

Does it also provide warmth?
No
Not much.
For warmth I'd use a CHE.
They provide warmth night and day. They provide no light.
That double dome assembly that you have is very commonly sold. And not really good for your application.
It's also likely that you need a new vet.

I got mine at BIG ALS PETS.
but LLL REPTILES sells them too.
I use the 24" 5.0 HO T5.
Its roughly $50 and comes ready to plug in and use.

Is this a good one to buy? If so I’ll purchase now.

A reflector assembly rated for at least 100 watts. Slightly higher even.
(A dome assembly that the bulb screws into)
Not sure what I look up for that (sorry I don’t know much, new to the whole reptile scene ?)
