Help pls my turtle front leg is puffed and nails are missing

Hi there,


My turtle front left leg looks infected ( i guess( It's puffed up and changed it's colour) any advise how can I make him/her recover?

I'm quite new to have a turtle,( just got them a month ago) I got 2 7 months old baby, attached Photoes of her.

It looks like there's a hair wrapped around the wrist. Someoneneeds to closely inspect the leg in bright light and using an opti-visor. and go to the vet.

Do you have any photos of this turtle from before you noticed this swelling? It does appear that it could very possibly be a congenital defect which you have just noticed for the first time.

There are other possibilities as well, too, such as Yvonne's thought about something wrapped tightly around the leg cutting off the circulation or it may also be the result of this foot being bitten by the other turtle when they were feeding, etc.

If you can determine from photos that this is indeed a totally new occurrence, you should take the turtle to a vet before this turns into a septicemia situation which could cause its death.

Thanks for your help, when I bought them about a month aand a half ago it was complety fine just like the other side. I contacted vet already. Thanks again
