Help! Friend has sick redfoot !

So my friend texted me last night that his redfoot had thrown up and has been sitting in its water bowl for the whole day. This morning he noticed that it hasn't moved yet. It's fed a variety of fruit and greens and it's.temp is 80-90 F gradient. It only tree up once and it was greens that was vomited. There's a large soak bowl and he keeps the humidity as high as possible, especially with the heat coming on since we're entering winter.

Sounds like your friend better take that tortoise to see a qualified tortoise vet.

YES....my friend just lost her tortoise. I also just found out her tortoise wasn't eating & sitting in its water bowl. I hope that that tortoise gets attention very quick!!!!

Update. Thank you all for your information and help. He did take him to the vet and it turns out there was a piece of mulch stuck in his throat. The vet was able to get it out with minor irritation and now he's on a regime of antibiotics to prevent infection in his throat. Thanks again everyone!
