I have a 10 month horse-field tortoise . Got him when he was 6 months

Thank you it was very helpful ! I’ve never humidified his viv should I do this and if so how and how often ? Thanks again is much appreciated

absolutely, they to have 50-70% humidity at all times. Without constant spraying, this can only be accomplished in a closed chamber. Can you post pictures of your setup.

I missed the fact that you said you have a viv. This is great. You can pour water into the substrate and mix it in until its moist but not puddling

also I see you are feeding him celery. It is not the greatest food for them. They prefer dark greens and weeds.

You shouldnt have to do it everyday. You will see that in the closed chamber that the humidity will hold.

Yeah it was just a one off treat . I grow him weeds and flowers

soaking him for 20 minutes a day in luke warm water is a great way to keep him hydrated as well.

Yep we do that everyday without a doubt !
