Hello from Canada!!

Hello!!

I am from Alberta Canada and I recently adopted a 2 year old cherry head named Gus! This forum has helped me so much and has pretty much answered all my questions so thank you so much! I am sad that when Gus gets older he will not be able to live life outside even in the warmer months because our climate is just to cold especially at night even during summer. But I will set up a little balcony garden for him to roam during the days. Is anyone else from Canada? Or does anyone else keep their grown tortoise inside all year? Please let me know!

Hello and welcome to you and your tortoise. Lots of people keep tortoises quite OK in areas with long cold winters. As long as you can give them their perfect warm setup indoors and it's got enough space. Their own space, not free roaming through your house like I have seen some folks do with theirs.
