Hello everyone like the title says im from Sacramento ca. I currently have a one year old red footed tortoise name Peach, she is my first . I just got her from a breeder about a month ago. I used a lot of info on this site and finally decided to become a member ... Conditions and habitat looks good ATM... Her tank is a 5ft by 2 ft tall and 2 ft wide. Humidity is always at 80 F in daytime n around 60-70 around night. With temp being 90-95 in basking area and 75-80F on other side..
I have tested her interest with all fake plants before putting them in, only live thing growing is some millet and milo seedlings.
Greatly appreciate any concerns and help thanks in advance and also her shell is like that when I first got her... I feed her 4 times a week spring mix without spinach and 3 times half and half with mazuri feed. Two times a week I sprinkle calcium d3 with no ph.
My only concern is if she is pyramiding or not... there is a black heat lamp on one side , the other side is a basking lamp and a UVB light, and a humidifier all attached to a 12 he cycle timer.
My plan is to have her an maybe one yellow footed male in the future for the rest of my life, housing indoor( will make enclosure larger when needed. The pix doesn't have the heat lamp on one side, and there are two hides, plus a humid hide with forest moss, water dish etc, the basic staples I suppose.
