We got our tortoise Tibby at the end of April. She was about 18 months old. She was raised dry except for the Jackson, MS humidity. Pyramiding had already begun. I have her 3x8 indoor enclosure in the 80s and 90s for humidity. I soak her everyday and many days, twice a day. She spends time outside in the Louisiana (drowning) humidity. She is growing VERY well. She grazes and eats what I give her. She is still pyramiding! I know I read that once it starts, it takes longer to get it to stop. When will it end????!!!! I have a couple of pics. The climbing pic was yesterday. She knows how to get in the way while I’m working on stuff. I had to put her inside. The other pic was when we got her.

I just got my Gatsby about a month ago and he must have been in an extremely dry start but I don’t know. Take a look. I have him at 90% humidity and really hope it looks better in the future.

Everything you post has you doing things right. Keep it up.

Thanks. Gatsby looks great, just like his name. Our oldest was very pyramided when we got him at five years old. I was hoping to help Tibby. I know what she has now won’t go away. I’m trying to not add to it. Here is Sweetheart.

They are beautiful and I’m sure they are not suffering. I’m no expert but designs comments sound reasonable.. it will probably be less noticeable with the healthy growth you provide.
