Can anyone (Dan?) identify this Greek for me? He is apparently at least 8 years old, and only 5 1/2"

Hi,
He is from the Middle East. He is either Testudo graeca antakyensis or T.g.antakyensis/T.g.terrestris cross.
You will have to measure the last vertebral scute at it's widest (the bottom along the marginals) and compare it to the width of the 3rd vertebral scute.
If the 5th is longer it is T.g.antakyensis. If the 3rd is longer it is T.g.antakyensis/T.g.terrestris cross.

No I don't hibernate mine. Depending on where they are from, some can take cool night time temperatures. Others though can't. Yours looks to be one of the ones that can't take temperatures lower than 60F.
