Thank for sharing this with us, Welcome to the forum. I have a 8 month old aldabra and he/she is such a change from raising sulcatas. The Aldabra's are so laid back where the sulcata's are the demolition crew. LOL

It’s been 5 years since the last update on Tortoise Forum, so I thought I’d post an update on my original 3 Aldabra- Tico now 12 y/o male, Kennedy going on 10 y/o female, and Gilligan 9 y/o male. While the rest of the zoo have moved to the new property, these original 3 are seemingly enjoying having the pasture back to themselves.

This is the third year Tico has shown increasing interest in breeding behavior. This year, he consistently found the correct side of her shell and is mounting more effectively. It will take more time, possibly decades, but it’s a good start for a young age.
