Gravel/Rocks in Digestive Tract - Redfoot

We've talked about this before. RF and YF tortoises - in fact, most of the forest-type tortoises - eat fruit that contain seeds. If we don't give them these types of foods, they eat rocks instead.

Winner winner steak and potato dinner.

All kinds of squashes, cucumber, papaya, seeds that are smooth and help push that bolus of food through are important. Even sneaking chopped grass into their diet serves the same purpose. All they want is to take a good sh!t.

Ever thrown corn on the cob in there? It comes out SMOOTH.

Yep. Just shucked.
Don't leave it around overnight. Rats are also attracted to corn.

I feed plums and cherries whole, the pits disappear.

I fed cherries today with the stems and pits.
They're on sale for very cheap.
