It does look like a male. I had an old looking dwarf male that looked just like that.

Somebody is missing a very unique tortoise. It should be easy to find the owner.

That was my best guess too, considering it's size and lack of that scute, but its head is on the smaller size and her eyes are pretty big, plus it's tail is chubby, looks kinda like a greek tail(just for comparison sake), and its really light in color.

She isn't mine! A friend asked me to come over and take a look at their torts, they have a larger Desert tortoise and then this little one :/ I was stumped!

Well regarding chilensis there are three subspecies, if im not mistaken it looks like on of the smaller species.

Once again, to clear things up!
I didn't find it and it's not it isn't with me.
It is a friend of mine's.
It was given to them 2 or 3 years ago from a friend.
They never knew it was a Chaco Tortoise!
This is really neat :)
