We're going to be trying out the new Google +1 button here on the site to see if it improves our search rankings. The +1 button will help people who are searching for tortoise information find our forum. It will also help Google pay closer attention to our important threads like guides, articles, or caresheets that have been posted. If you see a thread you like, be sure to click +1 (and FB Like!) The icons are near the top of the page when viewing a thread. They are also at the bottom (in the footer) of every page on the forum.
If you don't know what any of this means, the site will continue to function for you just like it has. If you have any questions, you can post them here or send me a private message.
Thanks everyone! :) :tort:

Here's what you're lookin' for

I've had this even during the beta version. I'll click +1 :)

I BELIEVE you have to have a gmail/google account. I don't know if this is still in Beta version, but you would have had to have been invited to this feature.

But since Josh has added it to the website it might not be anymore.

So because I have a Facebook account it wanted my password...then refused to accept it. I know it's the right one...

there is probably a setting on your facebook account that declines 3rd party applications or access from websites.

Check your account settings in FB

I now get a security warning with every click I make on this forum, only this forum. Very annoying. The error message says https://plusone.google.com. I have to acknowledge the error before I can do anything else.

How do I get it to stop, it makes the site basically unusable.

Josh, Is there a fix for my problem. TFO is very unenjoyable now.

Scott

Tools>Internet Options>delete cookies and temporary internet files.

That usually fixes a lot of internet explorer issues. Also rebooting your computer. Let me know if that works at all.

"The +1 button is shorthand for "this is pretty cool" or "you should check this out."

Click +1 to publicly give something your stamp of approval. Your +1's can help friends, contacts, and others on the web find the best stuff when they search."
