Hi! I'm a newbie here ? I would like to ask a concerning question because my I just noticed yesterday while cleaning my tort that it has bruising in his inner legs. I figured that this was caused by him constantly wanting to escape his bin when I bask him under the sun ?. ( I place him inside a basin to keep an eye on him and to not accidentally eat anything harmful to his health). I also noticed some bruising in his lower jaw ? Do you have any idea how to treat this at home? Is this bad for him? ?

Thank you in advance for your kind and helpful

Make him a safe enclosure with half shade half sun. Very simple to do. And u can check the area for anything harmful he may ingest. How tall is the bin? He could be scraping across the top edges. Is it in direct sun? Does he have access to a shady area?

Hi! As of now I have a separate enclosure for him but I had it made when he was still months old. He still fits perfectly in there and sunlight is perfect with a basking light too. But sometimes I just want him to be out of his enclosure and be with him under the sun. I always check for anything harmful that he may ingest but I still get worried or overthink. The basin I put him in is definitely taller than him with slightly curved edges.

I'd like to know however if there's any accessible medicine to treat his wound? ?
