True Golden greeks are their own subspecies. It's also not how yellow their shell is that makes them Golden greeks. It's how their body parts look and how yellow they are. The color of the shell can be different depending on how warm an ambient temperature they are raised in. The warmer they are the lighter their shell's will be.
You tell the subspecies apart by morphological differences, ie. scute sizes, scute seam lengths, head shapes and sizes, body parts color, rows of scales, number of front claws, shape of shell, adult size, egg and clutch sizes and DNA work. All these things go into describing a subspecies.
wow, really. from this pic can you tell if they're real goldens? i wanted to buy some from you but i the time i couldnt. when do you think you'll have ur next batch?
The one on the left does look like a hatchling Golden greek. Though buying from someone who isn't the breeder you can never be sure.
I won't be getting any hatchlings till next year.
