Glass tank

Hello all,
I have 6 month sulcata tortoise, we recently upgraded his enclosure to a bigger tank, do you recommend covering the sides so that he cannot see out, or will he get used to it? I’m not sure if he’s just exploring or if he’s nervous looking out. Thank you!

The tank is a 40 gallon tank. He’s tiny. Not sure how much he’s weighs.

A 40 is the bare minimum for a tiny hatchling. At 6 months they should need something MUCH bigger.

Do you have a kitchen scale? You should be weighing your baby weekly to make sure everything is okay.
