Ive had my tort for a week, he eats super good, loves going outside for an hour a day and overall seems like a super healthy boy. When i first got him for 2 days he was in temporary housing and the entire time he was just inside the half log, but ever since he has been in his forever home he has not been in it once, sleeps under the substrate. Im just wondering if i should all together get rid of it so he can have more space to walk around? The only thing he seems to use it for is standing on top of it when he eats his food.

You could pull it out and keep it. Then later when he might not act so active put it back in for a while. Sometimes a new item will get them busy investigating again.
I dont have a picture but his food bowl was right by it so he would go on top and have his back legs on top while puting his head and front legs in the bowl.
Hahaha that's one little resourceful tort.????
