Found this turtle near the ocean shore (It's not a sea turtle) what type is it?

I found this turtle by the beach. It was in the ocean, but it does not look like a sea turtle. It looks like a turtle that looks like one you'd buy from the pet store and it looks something like this: 1607405342629.png
What turtle is this? How did it end up in the middle east. Is it a native species to Kuwait?

*I did not take it home with me, I left it at the beach.*

OMG you're so lucky! That's Diamondback Terrapin/DBT. And that turtle is really expensive here in my country


I found the same turtle an hour later swimming in a puddle of rainwater far away from the ocean, (Which would soon dry up) and since these are not native to the environment of my country, it would die or harm the ecosystem. I took it, soaked it, cleaned it, and put it in a 155 gallon aquarium alone. I looked all over to see if someone had lost a diamond back terrapin, I found the owner of the turtle and they picked it up from my house. Glad the turtle found it's owner.
