My 4-5 year old Hermann's, Elsa, has been in her outdoor 8 x 12 ft enclosure 24/7 since mid-May. I made sure to include plants she could eat, but she shows no interest in any of them, so we have continued to feed her spring mix ,kale, nasturtium (both leaves and flowers), sow thistle, opuntia, day lily flowers and the occasional carrot or zucchini. We also use cucumber, but ONLY to help with hydration. She seems to be growing well and is active. Do you think she's getting enough variety in her diet?

Also add in some endive, escarole, cilantro and dandelion greens. They LOVE these and they are good for them. A little bit of Mazuri occasionally mixed in with your greens will also help round out any potential deficiencies.

Mine absolutely adores plantain. The first time I gave it to him it was afet I stopped his banana, tomato and salad diet. He hadn't known it before, but he almost ate my hand as well when I first gave it to him (no, he wasn't starved beforehand). Try that :)
