I no longer have fish tanks... maybe again someday.

But this was my 10gallon

I then temporarily created a "Nemo Tank". During this time I was Curator for a 30,000 gallon salt water exhibit. I transferred them into larger set ups rather quickly.

After they moved out, I set up the tank with sea horses

I don't have the best photos...

I also set up and maintained a 125gallon Classroom fish tank for 7 years.

Then I could bore you with some of my fish photos from my Curator days...but maybe it's too much.. LOL

We have one big tank in the living room wall. That is my husbands pride & joy. I gave up 2 closets that were on the other side for him ! Closets are valuable space ! LOL !
It's a 180 gallon reef tank. All live corals, he has even been growing
his own with proper lighting & stuff. My son has a smaller tank in his room & there are 2 six foot tanks in the garage used for quarantine & to house any fish or crabs that dont get along ! 20141206_154655.jpg20141206_154625.jpg20141206_154636.jpg20141206_154655.jpg20141206_154625.jpg20141206_154636.jpg

Thanks, but I hate to admit that more times than not, things get busy around the house & I forget to stop and smell the flowers so to speak. When people come over they look at it with facination.
The clams are real, is usually a surprize to most.

Not a super recent pic but here's our 20 gal set up

These bottom two I just took a couple days ago of the start of our 34gal rimless Solena. It's going to be a NPS (non photosynthetic) tank because I'm in love with all that weird stuff! We started transferring a few things over from the other tank on Thursday.

Nothing like these beautiful tanks that have been posted recently (!WOW!), but we upgraded our crawfish's tank, so I thought I'd post it for fun.
eddie tank.jpg
It's my first bowed tank. I think it's nice. I still have some work to do, because my little beastie is/has outgrown his hides. He now tips over his beloved castle to create his own cave. But I'll hook him up with some better hides and décor soon. We recently added a floating dock on the left (its' hard to see, because we keep the water so low). We've seen him get on it only TWICE and both times were in the middle of the night---sheesh! You couldn't wake up and show the kids!?!?

eddie.jpg
He's a pretty fun pet and is surprisingly interactive. Our Crayfish is not one of the fancier varieties, but the more he molts, the more colorful he gets. His molts are great fun for the kids. It's like they get a brand new pet every time he comes out of his old shell.

I also noticed that I didn't upload a full view of our sixty gallon fish tank previously, so I thought I'd repost a photo that I took after a water change...fish tank.jpg
I'd like to add a few more plants, but not too many because I like being able to see clearly into both rooms. You can see a little drawing taped to the fish tank. We had a beloved fish die of dropsy *sniff *sniff -that poor fish had gastrointestinal issues her whole life & could only eat peas. It's amazing she lived as long as she did! One of my little sweethearts has paid homage to our deceased fishy (Katara) in the form of art;) We already have a new fantail in there with them, and I hope to add a few more after they go throw a lengthy quarantine. We've had these fish between 6-8 years and are very attached to them.:D

The tea set in there is adorable! I'm thinking about getting some pearlscales this summer.
Thanks Shadow! I have a thing for tea pots and goldfish, so the combination makes me uber cheerful:) I've had the dishes in there for many years without any problems. Just once the paint on a poorly made cup started coming off, so I quickly removed it and changed a bunch of water. The rest of the dishes have not hurt my water levels at all and I love having them in there especially since my tank is in my kitchen. Pearlscales are really cute. Tag me if you decide to get them and show them off:)

Will do, I have a 100 gallon patio "pond"

I found it on Craigslist last year ($80!) I left it out all this winter to test it with 2 300Watt heaters and it easily stayed at 60F which is perfectly safe for Pearlscales (Ive read that 55F is their bottom number). I've got some new plants and things coming in and I'm going to sand the bottom...Hopefully in a month or two I'll be ready for some pearlscales. I'll definitely show them off when they come in!

Wow! What a deal! That's a really cool pond/tank! I've never seen one like that. I'd love it.
