Hey guys, so i recently aquired a 6 month old cherry head red foot tortoise, and although he has been not very active (im assuming its from the move since he wont eat or even walk around) but he is getting better.

i wanted to know if i have everything that he shoul be needing in his enclosure, seeing as this is my first tortoise.

I am using a 3 and a half foot long by 2 and a half foot wide glass aquarium (will be building a tortoise table later on when he gets bigger)
with Spanghum moss on the bottom and cypress mulch on top for substrate with some forest moss to keep the humidity up.

i have a heating pad under neath the hide, and im using a exo terra 160W heat/UVB light for the basking area.

im just wondering if my set up is good, and if there is anything i should impove on or buy to make his life that much better! thanks!!

What temps are you getting in the basking/hottest spot and what temps are you getting in the cool side? What type of night heat are you using and are you wetting the entire enclosure or just a portion of it?

the basking area is between 85-95 degrees, with the cool side being around 70-75. im using a red light for nighttime heat. im wetting only one side of the enclosure so he has a cool, dry side to go if he wishes.
