We bought her this way, and since this minor deformity is completely symmetrical, I don't think it's due to injury or disease. My guess is that when she was in the egg, she was incubated at a slightly too high temperature. I think females would be more likely to have this kind of condition, since higher temperatures lead to the development of females in turtles.
