We regularly do the "favorite tortoises" topic, but how about everyone's favorite snakes. I'll start:

1. Scrub Python. Hands down my favorite snake on the planet.
2. Black headed Python. A close second.
3. Brazilian Rainbow Boas.
4. Carpet Pythons and all the mixes... jungle etc...
5. Eastern Indigos.
6. Gaboon Vipers.
7. King Cobras... although I have a VERY healthy respect for these ones... wouldn't want one, but I just like and admire them a lot.

I like lots of other ones too, but these are my favorites.

Mine is very boring compared to yours. My favorite is ....drum roll.....GARTER snakes:p. I used to catch them as a kid. After asking my dad of course if it was indeed a garter, then I would catch it. I always let it go though.:D. Good memories.

- King cobras - Like Tom, I don't really have a huge desire to own one, but certainly just one of my favorites all around.
- Boelen's pythons - A rare, expensive animal I'll likely never own, but I can always dream. I did get to pet one once. Very silky-feeling!
- European ratsnakes (Aesculapian, leopards, etc.)
- African house snakes

...most obscure species tend to pique my interest.

I like a lot of snakes but my favorite would have to be Hognose. Hands down the cutest most curious little guys. Such funny little snakes! Who's favorite snake is a Reticulated Python, cause I have one with your name on it!

I am a little bias to my albino rat, but the fer de lance is pretty cool too! There is a veeeerrryyy feisty one living at the Dallas World Aquarium, just sayin. Eyelash vipers and Green Tree Pythons are beautiful ones too.

I like this one...

Amazon Basin emerald tree boa...hands down! My favorite of all-time...and the most beautiful!
black mamba (and yes...I like KOBE too)
Eastern diamondback...the largest venoumous snake in the States...deserves some love here!
California mountain kingsnake (ironically, I don't care for corals at all).
Burmese python...always had a penchant for growing these things to more than 10 feet by the time they were a year old!
Gaboon, rhinceros, Russell's viper
Puff, death adder
...and, of course the KING!

Footnote: I've owned several specimens of each of 'em...except the KING...I only had one of them...an 8 ft female! Didn't know she was a she until I sold her and later found she produced several clutches.

My absolute favorite snake is my Ball python, Reaper ;)

But the coolest snake ever is the Hairy Bush Viper. EXTREMELY deadly (and that is the ONLY reason I don't have one. Once the kids are grown... Might be a different story ;) )

Also, the tiniest snake int he world, the Thread snake, is also pretty freaking cool.

As far as beauty goes, I love the Rainbow boa

California Kings, best eaters and hearty as hell. Plus they can kill multiple mice with different parts of their body. it's pretty awesome to see
