Endive

What type of endive is good. I found some at my grocery store, but it looked more like a root with thin leafy layers. I really didn't know what I was looking for.

I use curly endive/chicory

I have give both. But usually only use the curly, not the Belgium, which is what's in your pic. The curly is cheaper.

Of all the grocery store foods, endive or escarole is probably the best.
