So I build an enclosure 60x33x28
Works great.

Only concern is if there are enough vents and or if they are big enough. 3-2" vents

Has 3 total. One on each side at bottom and on in center top back wall

To be honest. Small baby tortoise don’t need lots of air flowing. Their life style kind of like earth worm. Soak them twice a day on a open warm area is good enough. Anyway your enclosure was Pro.

Thanks , I built the enclosure, and works great. I do soak every morning 30 min and they have water bowl available.

Love your enclosure. would like to know more about your build. do the vents allow you to keep the humidity still high? That was one downfall I've heard about vents.

The vents are small, allowing air to move but my humidity stays high. 85%+ vents are at 2 @bottom, 1 @ top , so the enclosure fills with warmth and humidity.

Very nicely done.I’m building one myself rt now and am wondering what is the best color to paint inside.White seems too bright and unnatural.Hunter green is what I’m leaning towards.View attachment 256236

Each enclosure is different. I build closable vents into my last closed chamber, and I actually opened them a bit in summer to let some heat out. If you are easily able to maintain 85% humidity and warmth, then you have the right amount of venting for your enclosure.

I'm wondering about your lights. They seem a little high to me.

Vents are totally unnecessary as long as enclosure gets opened daily. Feeding, bathing or general wellness check should be done daily anyways so no worries there. Make sure your thermometer hygrometer is actually correct when it comes to humidity. Venting usually cause lower humidity. And high humidity applications are horrible on the mechanism so try one that has a probe on a wire so you can keep the mechanism outside the enclosure. Screenshot_2017-02-28-19-15-26.png
