Elephant ears and Sulcata Tortoises

So i just planted elephant ears in my Sulcatas enclosure in hopes that they would provide some shade for them, but I’m not sure if it would be harmful to them if they were to consume the plant.
If anyone has any answers for me it would be greatly appreciated.

Pretty sure those are toxic, but our understand of these things is shifting.

Will @Kapidolo Farms is well versed in these matters. Hopefully he'll see my bat-signal here and chime in.
