hey everyone, a quick inquiry, about how long till the egg tooth is gone ? i got my little einstein when he was about 2 or 2 1/2 months old. he is now about 4 months old and his egg tooth is still there. i feed him on slate, but how long till the egg tooth goes away ? i know it might probably vary, but what does everyone think ? thanks !! heres a couple pics of einstein !

It can really vary from tortoise to tortoise. It doesn't actually wear away or fall off, but absorbs back into the body. My baby Greek is about 2 1/2 months old and hers is just BARELY visible. I think maybe Einstein was a teeny bit younger when you got him than you were told... But I could be mistaken.
