Soil moisture is a very different thing than the relative humidity of the air. I think this would only work with actual soil..might not work at all with some substantiates that are used by many like bark, mulch, etc. I think a tool like this might be really interesting to measure moisture content of incubation media, perhaps, but it’s definitely designed garden soils.
