I have two eclipse catfish and recently one has been getting significantly larger and being very protective of its hididng spot....also the only other fish it allows in the house with it is the other catfish. Will these fish breed in an aquarium? And just to be safe should I not move the house while cleaning the tank for awhile?

Oh I hate common names. I had to go look it up as I'd never heard of that one and I like the catfishes. We used to call it the "Asian Redtail Cat" in my wholesaler days. Its a nice fish.

I've never heard of anyone successfully breeding this species in captivity, so it would be cool if you did. Let us know the outcome.

Yea some stores sell them as solar catfish I think.....I just didn't want to move the house if they were breeding I'll just leave that side of the tank alone for awhile when I clean.
