I'm compiling a list of items for tortoise keepers of things you can find at the DOLLAR STORE.
Please feel free to ad to the list.
1) plant seeds. Many types of edible vegetables, etc that are $1 a pack
2) shower curtain liners. These are fantastic as an underlayment for substrate used in wooden enclosures or to hold in moisture.
3) athletes foot cream. This is a quick cure for shell fungus. A semi common issue for very high humidity tortoises.
4) general anti biotic cream. For minor cuts, etc. Or for treating a bite or other puncture.
5) containers/ bowls. For soaking your animals and storing food, etc.
6) incandescent light bulbs. No longer made and still good as emergency heat sources.
